Somer Sivrioğlu’s Story
Somer Sivrioğlu is a chef who began introducing Turkish cuisine to the world with Efendy, which he founded in Australia in 2007. After living in Türkiye for 25 years, he opened this restaurant in Australia to share the flavors of his homeland that he missed while pursuing an MBA. The success of Efendy brought him back to Turkey, and in 2016, he introduced Efendy to Istanbul’s gourmets.
