Offering traditional Turkish cuisine, Pandeli, located right above the Spice Market, has become an iconic restaurant with its blue mosaics and delicious food. Abdullah Sevim, a veteran chef of 30 years, is in the kitchen preparing the time-honored classics of the restaurant. Some of the all-time favorites include Hünkarbeğendi (smoked eggplant puree with beef stew), döner cooked over an oak wood-burning grill, sea bass en papillote, eggplant pastry topped with döner slices, and on a sweet note, the Tirit with sour cherries where the sponge-like cake is infused with sour cherry syrup.
